Aviation fuel filter elements – types
The AFF series filter elements are divided by application into:
- hydraulic;
- fuel.
The hydraulic filter for aviation fuel of the AFF series can be designed and used for cleaning the working fluid (AMG-10 (GOST 6794), MK-8 (GOST 6457), 36/1 KUA (TU 38.101384-78), IPM-10 (TU 39-9) 50C-3 (GOST 20734-75), MG-7-B (TU 38. 401-58-101) or their equivalents) supplied to the hydraulic actuator from mechanical impurities to ensure the required purity and protect the hydraulic actuator elements from foreign particles. Such products can be used in both process equipment and aircraft. To date, the products are approved for use in accordance with the established procedure.
It is possible to choose a filter for aircraft fuel that is analogous to the filter elements of UAP Hydraulics OJSC in terms of technical characteristics, connection and overall dimensions, namely 8D5.886.059, 8D2.966.675, 8D2.966.713, 8D2.93,4 3.4,3 4.3 4.2 3.4, 8D2.966.034-2, 8D2.966.022-2, 8D2.966.022-3, 8D2.966.022-4, 8D2.966.022-6, 8D2.966.022-7, BU-45.
Fuel filter elements of the AFF series are designed to purify fuel (TS-1, T-1S, T-1, T-2, RT (GOST 10227-2013), kerosene of RG-1 brand (TU 38001244.81) or their equivalents) from mechanical impurities, ensure the required cleanliness and protect the fuel system elements from foreign particles. The products can be used both in process equipment and in aircraft. To date, the products have been approved for use in accordance with the established procedure.
The filter elements are analogous to the filter elements of UAP Hydraulics OJSC in terms of technical characteristics, connection and overall dimensions, namely: 8D2.966.660, 8D2.966.706, 340.042A, 340.043A, 340.044A, 340.045A, 340.099A, 340.100A, 8D5.886.072, 8D2.966.697-05.
Filter separator ST-500, which is a cylindrical vessel with three concentric baskets, on which two covers are put on. The first cover is filtering, i.e. removes contaminants from the fuel, the second is water separating, which removes moisture. Such a filter element for the separator performs double cleaning. The ST-500 filter elements have a throughput capacity of 500 liters per minute.
EFC (coagulating) aviation fuel purification filters are devices with special coagulants that coagulate and remove impurities in the fuel. Any filter elements are part of the filters and can be installed in the bodies of such models: FGN-30, FGN-60, FGN-120, FGN-120-20, TF-10.
The FGN-30 filter uses filter elements made of nonwoven fabric. Its throughput capacity is 30 m3/h and service life is 500 m3 of fuel. The FGN-60 and FGN-120 models differ from it by increased throughput and service life.
